Bee bots & Blue bots
We have 6 bee bots, as well as 6 blue bots (see through ones) that are stored in the steel cupboard in the laser cutting room. The bee bots work on batteries, so if they are slowing down or stop working, try replacing the batteries (should be some spares in the tub). If not, please let me know or give one of the tech guys any of the bee bots that aren't working, so they can be fixed up for next time. It is also very important to teach students (and check) that they turn both switches to the off position when they are packing up.
The Blue Bots are rechargeable - when finished with, please return them to the steel cupboard in the laser cutting room - they sit on a charging base. There is a display book with lots of lesson ideas and activities stored in the Bee bot tub. We also have a number of floor maps that are a great accessory to use with the robots. They can easily be incorporated into Literacy and Numeracy lessons. |
